It’s that time of year again and the Sprout family is undertaking our annual spring detox! What are we tackling this spring? Our #1 addiction… SUGAR! It is a super busy time of year so to maximize participation we are trying to keep it simple.
The challenge is to eliminate all processed sugar for 2 weeks.This group challenge will run Tuesday May 22nd to June 5th (aka post Victoria Holiday long weekend – You’re Welcome!).
Guidelines:
- Get all sugar out of your house and diet: The fastest way to accomplish this is to ditch all packaged foods. Sugar has many disguises so reading labels, it’s worth it!
- Commit to eating fresh whole foods: This is going to be your best strategy at avoiding sugar. Focus on nourishing your mind and body with vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, pastured meats, eggs, and seafood. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of fresh produce you eat!
- Drink water, green drinks, and herbal teas (unsweetened) only.
