Did you know your hormones can impact your sleep?
If you are waking up tired or feeling fatigued throughout the day, your hormones may be at the root of what is going on. Cortisol and melatonin levels can greatly impact how easily you fall asleep, how much energy you feel in the morning, and your ability to sustain energy and focus throughout the day.
In addition to fatigue, hormone imbalances are also associated with:
headaches, sleep disturbances, memory lapse, reduced sex drive, weight gain, and mood disorders.
How do we test for this?
The CHI Test, or Comprehensive Hormone Insights test, is a test for both men and women that measures the hormone levels in your urine, providing an in-depth look at your overall hormone production and metabolism in major hormone “families”. It gives a detailed look at what hormones are being produced, how much of them are being produced, and how the body is processing and using them. Some hormones tested
include:
- Cortisol
- Estrogen
- Testosterone
- Progesterone
- Melatonin
- DHEA
This highly informative test can show hormones and their metabolites (as show in the sample heat map below) which identifies which hormone levels are high, high normal, normal, low normal and low.
