At Sprout we offer a variety of supports for infants, children, and teenagers. From acute concerns, tracking milestones and growth patterns, to addressing specific concerns in youth – we have you covered.
Acute Care
Coughs, colds, fevers and flus are all part of the body’s natural ability to fight off unwanted germs and invaders. However, having tools to manage these symptoms safely and effectively is something we can offer.
How We Can Help
Our naturopathic and homeopathic practitioners can provide:
- Natural therapies which help decrease the intensity of symptoms and speed healing time
- Offer preventative strategies that improve immune function
- Educate families on what is a healthy immune response, and when to seek help
Our practitioners can also coach you in recognizing your child’s symptoms so that you can learn to manage symptoms at home.
Well Child Visits
Developing a relationship with a practitioner who knows your child, is a benefit we can offer. Our Naturopathic Doctors offer regular well-child visits to:
- Monitor growth and developmental milestones
- Work proactively to maximize your child’s digestion and immune health
- Prevent future concerns such as allergies, asthma and skin concerns
Well-child visits are also an excellent time for you to ask questions and are a wonderful way for you and your child to build a healthy relationship with your naturopath.
Naturopathic Well Child visits generally include:
- A thorough physical exam
- Measurement of height, weight and developmental milestones
- Breastfeeding support
- Nutritional guidance and diet review
- Support for concerns around digestion, teething, or sleep
- Education and natural home remedies to treat fevers and childhood illnesses
- Testing for food sensitivities and/or environmental allergens (available for children over 2 yrs old)
- Time to answer your questions or discuss any concerns
Well-child visits can be scheduled any time. Our recommended schedule includes visits at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, and then 2 times per year.
